- Earth and Planetary Dynamics
- The Division of Earth and Planetary Dynamics consists of faculty with experience in geochemistry, geophysics, geodynamics, mineralogy, mineral physics, petrology resources, glaciology, and tectonics.
- Geodetic Sciences
- Geodetic science is concerned with the size and shape of the Earth, the realization of terrestrial reference frames, and the estimation of spatial coordinates, Earth orientation parameters, crustal motion and deformation, tides, the mean and time-variable gravity field, and mass fluxes associated with the Earth system.
- Geological Sciences
- Our paleontology program was ranked 8th BY US News and World Report. Members of this group consist of a past president of the Paleontological Society, a Fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Sciences, two Fulbright scholars, and a winner of the prestigious Humboldt prize.
- Global and Environmental Change
- The Division of Global Environmental Change focuses on research related to Biogeochemistry, Climate Change, Public Health, and Water Resources.
